Pre-Race Registration: Our Headquarters will be situated at the start/finish area on Higgs Beach, 1000 Atlantic Blvd., Key West 33040. Packet pickup and pre-registration will take place by the 2 gazebos on Higgs Beach. Swimmers and kayakers MUST be present at the pre-race registration.
All applicants must check in at this site from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Friday, June 27. At the time you register, you will receive your info packet, t-shirt and “goody bag.” All Solo swimmers and Relay teams will receive their numbered orange pennants with their number at registration. Then they must place the pennant prominently and securely with duct tape onto their support vessel. If the pennant is not clearly visible on your support craft, you can be disqualified from the event.
Mandatory Pre-Race Meeting: Promptly at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, June 27, we will begin our pre-race meeting. The meeting will be held by the 2 gazebos on Higgs Beach (our Headquarters). Information will be given as to rules, the course and other pertinent directions and instructions. Questions will be taken and answered. The goal will be to have all swimmers, kayakers and support crew out of the meeting by 6:30 p.m. All swimmers MUST be present with their kayakers at the pre-race meeting.
